In our administrative duties, we make the arrangements for transportation of the deceased, complete all necessary paperwork and implement the choices made by you the family regarding the funeral and final farewell to your loved one.

As caregivers we are listeners, advisors, and supporters. Here at Allen-White our 70-years of experience means we know how to take care of the bereaved clients it what can be such difficult and confusing time. When faced with a situation you may not have experenced previously it can be a daunting task; we are here to support and advise you throughout. We can arrange and carryout all your wishes for the funeral of your loved one allowing you space and time to grieve.

What to expect when you arrive at our funeral home

On arriving to our funeral home, you will be welcomed by our friendly, fully trained and experienced Funeral Directors. At what is often a very upsetting time, our Funeral Directors are more than happy to visit you at home to discuss the funeral arrangements if this is preferred.

We are here to listen, comfort and to make saying goodbye to your loved one truly special and unique. We will we guide you through the entire arrangement process, explaining how you can create a memorable personal celebration of your loved one's life. It will not be a one-way conversation - we want to hear your ideas and wishes, and use them as the foundation for the arrangement process.

There will be some administration to complete during the funeral arrangements, again we will help you through this is needed.

Decisions you will need to consider include:

• Burial, cremation or repatriation
• Coffin style, casket and urn selection
• Dressing the deceased
• Where the deceased should rest prior to the funeral
• Where the funeral is to be held
• Religious or secular service
• Who is to conduct and speak at the funeral service
• Whether to have floral tributes or donations to charity
• Who should be informed of the death and invited to the funeral
• Newspaper notice(s)
• What costs are appropriate.
